Bedminster Judokwai are based at the new Ashton Park Sports Centre, Ashton Park School, Bower Ashton, Bristol.  The club was founded in 1996 by Paul Taylor and teach judo to people of all ages from 5 to 60 from all backgrounds.  As a club we have enjoyed great success over the past 11 years, both domestic and international.

LATEST NEWS
20th JULY - Well done to all those a took part in the LAST competitive grading.  Charlie who gained his 9th Mon, Henry 10th, Sasha & Thomas both 11th.  Also to Shaun Bartlett who completed a line up to achieve the points for his 1st Dan.

KENT INTERNATIONAL, K2, CRAWLEY - 22nd, 28th & 29th June
Well done to all those who fought over these 3 days.  In the Youth on 22nd, Both Joe & Chris had large groups both narrowly missing out to get into the Finals in their respective categories.  Chris ending with Bronze in u66 and Joe 5th in u73.  Jason won Bronze in the Senior +100.  Also well done to Sam Smythe (Sea Mills) who travelled with us and gained valuable experience.

Well done to Charlie who took Bronze in the junior u30 yellow belt section on 28th and his brother Henry who fought well but did not medal.  Thomas was our only competitor on 29th and came 5th.

So overall it was an excellent 3 days taking 3 Bronze & 2 5th places out of 7 players.  WELL DONE ALL

31ST MAY & 1ST JUNE - Thank you to all those who helped out at our recent competitions and to all those who fought.  Well done to Evelyn, Bronze; Charlie, Bronze and Henry & Sasha, Silver; also well dont to Anthony who just missed out at the Mini Mons and to those who fought in the Open, Charlie & Sasha, Gold and Henry, Silver.

23RD MARCH - Well done and thank you to everyone who entered our jointly rang youth & senior low grade competition with Sea Mills JC.  Plus a big thank you to all those who helped set up, clear away and throughout the day along with all referees and table officials.

WELL DONE to all those from these 2 clubs that won medals:  Joe Edwards, Gold +60 youth & Gold u66/73 seniors;  Shaun Bartlett, Gold +81 seniors; Daniel Young, Silver u60 youth & Sam Smythe, Bronze u60 youth.

16TH MARCH - Well done to all those who fought in the Samurai green belt and below competition.  Sasha & Thomas won Gold and Charlie fought very well but was in a large group.
