| 25th October 2009 - Hampshire split grade open, all fought very well with everyone winning a medal: Britney & Rachel bronze in the red/yellow belts, Szymon in his first competition won Gold again in the red/yellow belts, Sasha Silver in the orange/green and Tom bronze in the senior 2nd kyu and below. This was Tom's first senior competition. 10th & 11th October 2009 - Another weekend travelling this time to Sheffield for the British Championships for the older age groups 12 to 17 years. Henry & tom both competing in their first ever championships both fought well and both gave 100%. Henry exceeded expectations to narrowly missing out (by a yuko) on a Bronze to secure 5th place, an excellent achievement. 4th October 2009 - WELL DONE to Charlie for winning Bronze at the British Championships for 10 & 11 year olds in Dagenham. He fought really well winning 5 fights by Ippon and only just loosing one which kept him from booking a place in the finals. To win a medal in 2 consecutive years is an excellent achievement.
13th September 2009 - Well done to Paul who revalidated as a coach. 12th September 2009 - WELL DONE to Henry & Thomas who got selected to fight in the British Championships 2009. 18th August 2009 - Well done to those who achieved their next grade: Szymon - 1st Mon, Rachel & Britney - 3rd Mon, Charlie - 11th Mon, Henry - 12th Mon and Thomas 13th Mon. 13th July 2009 - Excellent day out was had at the Western Area Open held in Swindon, where Charlie in u34kgs under 12's fought exceptionally well to win all his fights to win GOLD. Henry and Sasha fighting in the under 16's u46kgs and u36kgs categories to both win BRONZE. 6th & 7th June 2009 - WELL DONE and thank you to all those that supported our Mini-Mon and Junior Open held over this weekend. Especially to all the officials and parents and players that helped run this event. 17th May - Western Area Closed, Kingsbridge. 4 of our players fought in these championships and we had 100% success with all 4 winning medals and 3 of these were Gold. Charlie started the day in the under 12's u34 kgs section meeting a few good fighters to secure a place in the final which he won to be crowned Western Area Champion 2009. Then it was down to see if his brother could match this which he did in spectacular fashion to also be crowned champion. Then it was down to Sasha and Tom to keep the momentum going, Sasha fought extremely well to also win Gold with Tom who was in a very hard group winning a few fights to win a Bronze. These medals helped Bristol secure 3rd spot which was excellent bearing in mind the counties small squad that made the trip. Mini-Mon 6th June has been upgraded to a 2 star licence. On Sunday 10th May, Sam competed at High Wycombe in the 61 JC junior & youth open. Sam fought extremely well to win Silver in the u60 kgs youth category. Well done Sam. Tuesday 5th May - SESSION CHANGE: Please note that the squad and beginners session will be 6.15 to 7.45pm tonight only. Midland Area green belt and below, Senior Kyu grade championships. A
excellent day was had with 3 silver medals being won. First up was
the girls with Britney fighting in her first competition of this level, a
great improvement was seen with an excellent win unfortunately not enough
to go thorough to the next round. Sasha was next up in a straight
pool of 4 winning a Silver. DOUBLE WEEKEND - This weekend 18th & 19th April we had players competing on Saturday at an under 18 competition in Kidderminster and Sunday at an Inter Club in Patchway. All players fought well with Charlie winning Silver & Henry Bronze on Saturday. Krispin & Curtis Bronze, Bethany Silver and Alex Gold on Sunday along with the under 8's who attended the training session Alfie, Magnus & Kieran. WELL DONE ALL. WELL DONE - To Sasha & Thomas who gained there 12th Mon's and Henry

green belt. 19th DECEMBER 2008 - Well done to all the 2008 end of year presentation winners and thanks to all those who attended. Awards were won by: PLAYER OF THE YEAR - Henry Geary Also well done to the medal & points chart winners along with best attendance Sasha (Squad) and Anthony (Beginners). 20th OCTOBER 2008 - Excellent judo and time had by all those who attended the Clacton International this weekend. Full results and photos to follow shortly. 5th OCTOBER 2008 - Well done to those that fought at Hartcliffe Inter Club and thjose who took part in the under 8's training session. Also well done to Thomas & Sasha who past their Level 1 junior referees exam. And finally extremely well done to Charlie who fought in the British Championships and won GOLD.
